Project and Investor Competition Oberweid, Eggersriet

The municipality of Eggersriet is the owner of parcels nos. 582 and 969 and intends to sell them as part of a quality-assured development. For this purpose, it is conducting a project and investor competition. The procedure simultaneously aims at the selection of a project that is convincing in terms of urban development, architecture and open space, as well as of an appropriate investor team for its implementation. The sale of the land is conditional upon the further development of the competition entry recommended by the jury. Eligible to participate are teams consisting of an investor and specialists in the fields of architecture and landscape architecture. These teams develop a project entry with the aim of creating a residential development of high architectural, open space and residential quality. The winning project entry, which the jury recommends for further development, forms the basis for the sale of the parcels to the investor team. The award of the contract requires that the project entry be further developed and implemented within the framework of a special zoning plan. The project and investor competition is thus explicitly aimed at concrete implementation by the winning team. The planning and building law procedures as well as the contractual arrangements between the municipality and the investor team and approval by the citizens upon sale remain reserved.
