The municipality of Oberriet wishes to prepare its maintenance facility and fire station property for the future. At the strategic planning session on 16 May 2022, a working group was established to develop a « future strategy for the Oberriet maintenance facility ». Space requirements are to be planned for the next 15 to 20 years. Construction measures at the fire station have already been implemented. However, some renovations (buildings, operations, logistics) are required at the maintenance facility. In the course of the feasibility study work, a complete new construction solution for the facilities on this site has become increasingly necessary. This is due both to the general condition of the existing buildings and to the complex functional organizational possibilities. For this reason, the Oberriet municipal council has decided to conduct a selective design competition. The client hopes that the design competition will yield project proposals that are well integrated into the local context and can be realized and operated economically and sustainably. The spatial organization should enable optimal operational workflow and be able to be adapted if needs change.
