Village Centre Development Egolzwil

With the project « Village Centre Development Egolzwil », a development vision for the future village centre of the municipality of Egolzwil was elaborated starting in March 2022. The aim was to design a sustainable and broadly supported future image of the future village centre. The final concept « Village Centre Development Egolzwil » is based on the best variant, which was developed, discussed and deepened over a roughly two-year process. In summer 2024, a public participation process was conducted, in which the population was able to provide input on the development idea. With the definition of further planning and deepening steps, the first project phase was completed in September 2024. Details can be found in attachment 03 in the village centre development concept.   The village centre development of Egolzwil is now moving into the next phase: In a design competition, the existing volume study is to be deepened and five planners are to develop solution proposals. The quality assurance procedure is intended to concretize the overall development of the site with high urban design quality and optimal arrangement of the desired uses.   Following the currently announced design competition, in a final project phase the winning project is to be secured with a master plan and the planning and realization of the school building extension, and the necessary adjustments to the land use planning are to be made in a partial revision of the municipal zoning plan, before construction implementation can begin.
