Client Representation / External Construction Project Management - New Primary School Building Wolfacker in 3186 Düdingen, FR

The municipality of Düdingen, one of the largest municipalities in the Canton of Fribourg, has experienced significant growth in recent years. The sustained and dynamic construction activity in the municipality indicates continued population growth and the attractiveness of the municipality – particularly to young families – is directly reflected in additional demand for school facilities and out-of-school care (ASB) spaces, known in other cantons as all-day school. The existing Wolfacker primary school facility is already bursting at the seams due to growth and is to be supplemented with one or more new buildings. The future school building composition at Wolfacker – consisting of three existing buildings and future new buildings – will then form the new centre for Düdingen primary school. Wolfacker primary school is complemented by the nearby Gänseberg and Hasliweg sites. Overall, approximately 760 pupils will be taught in 37 classes across the three sites, with Wolfacker serving as the main site. The space programme for the future new buildings at Wolfacker comprises approximately 6,000 m² of usable floor space and includes 15 of the 37 classrooms for kindergarten and primary school with the corresponding number of group rooms and specialist rooms, a single gymnasium, an auditorium as well as ASB facilities including a commercial kitchen. By integrating ASB into the future new buildings, an all-day meeting and recreational space will be created for approximately 265 children from kindergarten to primary school. To address the task of constructing the new Wolfacker school building, a single-stage design competition under the open procedure in accordance with SIA Regulation 142 for Architecture and Engineering Competitions (2009 edition) is being held from June 2025 to January 2026. Through the design competition, the project best qualified for the location and task as well as the corresponding lead architect with planning team are to be identified and recommended for further planning and realisation. With this call for tender, the « Client Representation / External Construction Project Management », which assumes the function of construction project management, is being sought. It manages the appointed lead architect team and ensures that the project planning is carried out in accordance with requirements, quality, schedule and cost over the SIA phases 31 Pre-project through 53 Commissioning.
