Information Event_Questions on SBB BIM Requirements

The event will take place ONLINE. Participants will receive the meeting access credentials in the registration confirmation sent by e-mail.

Since the beginning of 2025, SBB has been working according to the BIM method. The guidelines applicable to SBB BIM projects are available at www.sbb.ch/bim. The aim of the «Q&A Session on SBB BIM Guidelines» is to answer in dialogue detailed and practical questions on the publicly available SBB BIM guidelines. This enables potential external partners to prepare for participation in an SBB BIM project or to familiarize themselves with the topic «BIM with SBB». The following topics are excluded from the Q&A session: • General questions independent of SBB regarding BIM methodology will not be addressed. • Questions on specific SBB BIM projects will not be addressed. Project-specific questions will be handled by SBB's established support organization for BIM projects. • Specific questions on calls for tenders will not be addressed. Specific questions on calls for tenders must be raised within the framework of the corresponding call for tenders. • Questions on the assessment of minimum requirements, eligibility and award criteria, as well as questions on contractual content will not be addressed. The answers from the Q&A session will not be published subsequently and will be dealt with exclusively during the event. The event will be recorded for internal processing. The recording will not be published and will be deleted after processing. Further recordings are not permitted. For calls for tenders, the relevant tender documents always apply. The event will take place online on various dates. The next event will take place: • 3 June 2026, from 15:30 to 17:00 Other events planned for 2026 (with separate announcement to follow) • 28 October 2026, from 15:30 to 17:00 This specialist event will be held in Italian, French and German. Answers will be provided in the national language in which the questions were asked. The event is suitable for participants with a focus on planning and execution using the BIM method. It cannot be ruled out that English technical terms will be used. The event will take place ONLINE.
