Lucerne Pass-through Railway Station, 2nd Phase, New Town Tunnel

Phase of preliminary study (SIA 21) and preliminary project (SIA 31), with the phases overlapping. Services: overall project management, tunnel construction in open excavation and underground advancement (conventional and TBM); civil engineering and specialized civil engineering, load-bearing structures, geology and hydrogeology, technical facilities (tunnel ventilation, tunnel safety, fire protection) and railway technology (track), architecture (connection structure). The 2nd phase of DBL encompasses the New Town Tunnel (double track) from Lucerne underground railway station (excl.) to the connection with the existing railway line towards Olten in the Heimbach/Gütsch/Fluhmühle area (incl.) as well as all associated structural measures required. The route alignment and cross-section of the tunnel as well as the design of the connection structure will be determined during the preliminary study (variant study) phase. Based on the best variant from the preliminary study, the preliminary project will be developed. Services are to be provided during the period Q4/2026 to Q2/2031.
