Würenlos IO/AO; K423, Rehabilitation of Schulstrasse

Project management, specialist planners and site management, SIA phases 41 - 53 The road K 423 Schulstrasse requires rehabilitation in both urban and peripheral areas. The design width of the K 423 will remain 6.00 metres. In the central section (section Volg - Municipal offices – Ländli School), the road width will be reduced to 5.20 metres as at present. This area contains an important pedestrian crossing which, due to space constraints, cannot be protected with a central island. The road surfaces will be constructed entirely in asphalt, including traffic stops. Bus lay-bys will be created using a concrete slab as usual. The pavement surfaces (with the exception of the Chilematt and Municipal administration / Old school building areas) will also be constructed in asphalt. The surface of the Chilematt area is planned as granite paving. With the implementation of the substructure rehabilitation, the road drainage will be adapted to the new situation. All street collectors and their discharge connections, which are connected to the combined sewer system, will be reconstructed. Old connections to the main line or inspection chambers that are no longer required must be properly sealed. No structural interventions are planned on the sewage side. Locally, the electricity and water supply network will be supplemented or replaced. If necessary, a connection between electricity and water to the municipality of Hüttikon (ZH) will be made. The street lighting is owned by the municipality of Würenlos and is maintained by the Technical Services of Würenlos (TBW).
