Day Care Centre Röschenzerstrasse 7, Conversion and Renovation, SIA 291 Architect with Overall Management
The semi-detached terraced house built in 1925 at the foot of Bruderholz, located at Röschenzerstrasse 7, initially served as a private residential house before being used by the University Psychiatric Clinic (UPC) and renovated accordingly in 1993. Since the UPC's relocation, the building has been available since 2019 for interim office use. The building requires renovation. In addition to earthquake safety and fire protection, heritage conservation aspects and sustainability requirements must be implemented. Simple solutions are being sought. In a first phase, the building will offer a day centre structure for 50 places. The rooms must be designed in such a way that, in the final development stage, a later exchange between kindergarten and day centre structure is possible without further construction work.
