Revitalisation and Partial Sealing « Chruteren », Muota Bisisthal

ebs Energie AG (hereinafter ebs) is a regional energy service provider for the Innerschwyz region. ebs connects its customers with local electricity, natural gas and biogas as well as with Internet, TV and telephony. The power plant of the Schwyz district (today ebs Energie AG) was founded in 1952 for the purpose of harnessing the hydroelectric power of the Muota for the benefit of the district's citizens. This remains true today. Planned scope of services for the tender In the present tender, the project objective is to carry out partial sealing and revitalisation of the Muota in the Bisisthal in the river section from « Mettlen » to « Laui Bridge ». Profile revitalisation and partial sealing: · Ecological development goals (revitalisation) · Partial sealing · Flood protection The revitalisation project transforms the Muota into a naturally-shaped riverbed and restores its natural functions. Naturally-designed banks with site-appropriate vegetation create new habitat for flora and fauna and improve the ecomorphological condition of the watercourse in the long term. Adapted partial sealing reduces unwanted infiltrations, ensures the permanent functionality of the structure and ensures that the Muota carries water permanently in this section. In addition, flood protection along the Muota must be considered in the project.
