Complete Renovation of School and Gymnasium Hemmental, Selection of Architect for Architectural Services School The façade and interior fit-out are largely in their original condition. The historic building envelope from the turn of the last century can no longer meet today's energy requirements. In this context, appropriate interventions are required, which demand sensitive handling of the historic building substance under heritage conservation aspects. The school facility is not yet accessible without barriers today. According to current school space planning forecasts, the current space requirement (4 primary school classrooms, 1 handicraft room, 1 workshop, 1 staff room, 1 principal's office and group rooms) is met. The official classrooms are appropriately sized for the number of children; the classrooms on the upper floor are partially too small. A consolidation and new layout of certain rooms should be examined here. Gym The extended building dates from the 1960s and the rear area was structurally renovated around 1990 (sanitary facilities, storage and changing rooms). In 2000, the south façade was refurbished. The building envelope and the equipment standard of the sanitary facilities no longer meet current requirements. In connection with the school, barrier-free access is desired. The gymnasium is currently intensively used by the school as well as by various local associations as a "multipurpose hall".
