New Residential Development Walkeweg Construction Fields C and D with Building Component Reuse («Re-Use»), BKP 290 General Planner

Call for tenders for a general planner mandate for the construction of approximately 150 residential units on the Walkeweg site, construction fields C and D, within the framework of the 1000+ residential construction program and for the cantonal migration centre. The winning project «Elementa» resulting from the competition conducted in 2022/2023, led by architects Parabase GmbH, with the participation of civil engineers Monotti Ingegneri Consulenti SA and landscape architects USUS Landschaftsarchitektur GmbH, forms the basis for the general planner mandate and for further planning. As the project has progressed, the requirements have become more concrete. With a view to the execution phase, high demands are placed on coordination, interface management and implementation. To meet these requirements, the project team will be strategically expanded: the general planner services are hereby re-tendered and should in future be undertaken by a partner specializing in this field. The architects remain responsible for the architectural quality and design development of the project and are to be integrated into the new general planner team with specific shares. The same applies to the civil engineer and landscape architect.
