On-site services (such as meetings) are provided on-site at the FEDRO Infrastructure office in Thun, the central office in Ittigen or the visitor center Wankdorf as well as in the project perimeter. Services that are not location-bound are provided by the contractor.
The project perimeter is located in the national road section N05.80, Bözingenfeld – Lengnau and comprises the section from the Bözingenfeld junction to the structure BS 20 Leugene Bridge, from km 73.965 to km 81.195. This corresponds to a length of km 7.23. The section of the N16 between the Bözingenfeld junction and the D01 Pont sur T5 bridge is part of the maintenance section N05.80. This road section was mostly constructed between 1998 and 2000 and put into operation in 2001. The UNF BS 03 Bözingenfeld N16 was completed in 2020. It is the national road N05, class 1, which is owned by the FEDRO. The project perimeter contains 8 overpasses, 4 underpasses, 4 culverts, 1 basin, 6 retaining walls, 1 tunnel, 5 noise protection embankments, 5 noise barriers, 2 oil retention basins, 2 pump shafts and 20 signal gantries. The renovation includes the following works: resurfacing on the entire section, reconstruction of the 4 retention basins, various concrete repairs on structures and in the Pieterlen tunnel, local reinforcements of signal supports, various waterproofing treatments on structures, replacement of the surface protection system in the Pieterlen tunnel, markings, signage and lighting on the entire section. The Biel East / Bözingenfeld junction, which is classified as an accident hotspot and is located in the Bözingenfeld development priority area, must be reviewed from a traffic engineering perspective. At present, it is assumed that structural measures will be required. This procurement contains the mandate of construction project manager for the phases MK / AP with PGV (procedure support, handling of objections) until realization / IBN (Optional) using the BIM planning method.
