Extension of Steig School, Rorschacherberg

In February 2024, the Municipal Council published the design competition « Extension of Steig School Rorschacherberg » on simap.ch. The corresponding programme for the design competition was approved by the Council on 9 January 2024. Based on the space programme, the design competition was launched using a selective procedure. From 39 applicants, the Municipal Council invited five to participate in the design competition in April 2024. The five developed projects were evaluated by the appointed committee according to the criteria specified in the design competition programme. The award was granted, subject to a private law agreement on the fee agreement and necessary credit approvals by the competent bodies, to the authors of the project proposal « Trockene Füsse », Bernardo Bader Architekten, Bregenz. The Municipal Council subsequently formally commissioned the authors of the winning project, bernardo bader architekten, on the basis of the design competition specification, to continue the development and optimization of the project « trockene Füsse » (follow-up assignment). The follow-up assignment, including realization, was already announced in the call for competition, subject to agreement on the fee agreement and credit release by the forthcoming public vote. Phase 1 « Preliminary Project Plus » comprises the basic services according to the SIA service phase : 31 Preliminary project and 32 Construction project (Part 01)
