Complete Renovation Basel Marshalling Yard Signal Box West and Signal Box East General Planner Partial Project Phases 32-53

The signal boxes West and East of the Basel marshalling yard must be renovated as the existing infrastructure and technical installations no longer meet current SBB requirements. Additionally, spaces requiring renovation or not meeting user needs are currently vacant. A comprehensive upgrade of the buildings is therefore required. The objective of the renovation is to ensure a useful life of the two signal box buildings of at least 30 years after completion of the work. This includes in particular the replacement of building services including lighting as well as maintenance work on the building envelope, office spaces, common areas, changing rooms and sanitary facilities. Furthermore, current fire protection and protection zone concepts must be implemented as part of the measures.
