MP 3063 Rufacher, Bündner and Schönenbusch Streets, Engineering Services
Rufacher Street, Bündner Street and Schönenbusch Street are typical Tempo 30 neighbourhood streets. In Rufacher and Bündner Streets, the existing traffic management remains unchanged. The generous spatial conditions in Rufacher Street allow for the planting of a row of trees. In coordination with the AUE, the tree beds can additionally be designed in a basin-like shape to accommodate and allow infiltration of road runoff. The intermediate parking spaces are raised 2.5 cm above the roadway, unsealed and executed with permeable paving stones. In Schönenbusch Street, the continuous longitudinal parking is interrupted to create a generous passing bay. The existing tree beds can be enlarged and partially connected to one another. The newly created beds are also designed in a basin-like shape. The existing longitudinal parking spaces are redesigned and executed in a similar manner to Bündner Street. In the intersection area of the three streets mentioned, the seating area is expanded. The resulting small plaza is enhanced by additional tree plantings, seating facilities and a drinking fountain. Alltogether, 530 m2 of current asphalt surface is unsealed. This creates 240 m2 of new green beds and 290 m2 of parking space is executed with permeable paving stones.
