The municipality of Windisch is planning the development of the building land reserve « Vorder Chilefeld » in the Unterdorf district with the aim of promoting communal and family-friendly housing. The site includes not only the area in the building zone but also an area in the public green zone, which is also to be redesigned. The municipality intends to transfer its plots in the building zone to a non-profit housing organisation via building rights. The redesign of the public green zone between the new development and the adjacent forest is also part of the task.

A total budget of CHF 140'000.- (excl. VAT) is available to the jury for the compensation of participating bidding consortiums, the awarding of projects and acquisitions. Participating bidding consortiums that submit a project approved for evaluation receive a fixed compensation of CHF 10'000.- (excl. VAT) each. The remaining amount is distributed among approximately 3 prizes.
