The competition concerns the new construction of the Allmend school complex in Horgen with school spaces for 18 classes, a double kindergarten and music facilities to meet growing demand. The goal is an architecturally and urbanistically convincing overall concept that understands school as a living space and meaningfully integrates the existing buildings and facilities on the site. This is a one-stage, anonymous, open design competition in accordance with SIA 142 for interdisciplinary teams comprising architecture (lead discipline), structural engineering and landscape architecture. The focus is on high quality, functional operations, sustainability and economical solutions across the entire lifecycle.

Immediately following the design competition, the pre-project phase will be awarded in a legally binding manner.
