Implementation of Measures M14 (Biodiversity-friendly cantonal properties), M15 (Biodiversity-friendly settlements) and M19 (Learning practical skills for biodiversity promotion) of the Graubünden Biodiversity Strategy

Within the framework of implementing measures M14 (Biodiversity-friendly cantonal properties) and M15 (Biodiversity-friendly settlements) of the Graubünden Biodiversity Strategy (BDS GR), green spaces in settlement areas are surveyed in various pilot projects, their ecological potential is identified, and subsequently upgraded and maintained accordingly. In the first implementation phase of the BDS GR (2025-2028), the lead office (ANU) provides a uniform procedure (CONVERSION) within the pilot phase. Services and contents of the CONVERSION method: Application-based method for systematic localization, analysis, measure determination with cost frameworks and implementation timelines, supplemented with maintenance and care instructions (Phase I). Planning tool for real estate portfolios and realization documentation as well as guidance for tendering and site supervision, as well as for inspection and acceptance functions (Phase II). Furthermore, CONVERSION supporting basis for instruction and training of maintenance officers (Phase III), as well as adaptation of existing maintenance documentation and plans. Within the framework of implementing M14, phases I and II are implemented for various cantonal properties. Within the framework of implementing M15, phases I and II are implemented for various properties of municipalities and companies. Additionally, the service provider acts as a hub and contact point for active and potential stakeholders. Within the framework of M19, practical skills for biodiversity promotion are to be fostered in various professional groups. Within the scope of this mandate, companies in the horticulture sector (work step 2) and facility management/general services (work step 3) are to be trained (Phase III). Part of the mandate is also support for project management of the BDS GR as well as measure leaders in project management of measures M14, M15 and M19.
