The competition task was divided into a project section and an ideas section. In the project section, forward-looking proposals are to be made for the construction of new research stables for dairy cattle and pigs as well as a specialized experimental centre. In the ideas section, a long-term concept for the entire campus is sought that defines «rules of the game» and simultaneously responds to changing requirements over time. The goal is to develop a holistic strategy for the research location that will be pioneering in animal welfare and sustainability in agriculture.
