Planning Competitions – Canton Zug

Zug is economically one of Switzerland's strongest cantons, with correspondingly high quality expectations for architecture competitions. Zug city, Baar and Cham are the most active venues. Projects include high-quality school buildings, public administration buildings, sports halls and increasingly housing densification.

Zug consistently uses selective study mandates under SIA 143 and open project competitions under SIA 142. High fiscal capacity enables larger construction volumes and quality-oriented procedures. International and nationally leading architecture firms are regularly represented in Zug competitions.
