Planning Competitions – Canton Valais

Valais is a bilingual canton (German in Upper Valais, French in Lower Valais) with a diverse competition landscape. Sion, Brig-Glis, Visp and Martigny are the most active venues. Tourism, alpine infrastructure and energy projects (dams, renewables) dominate.

Valais competitions reflect the cultural duality: Lower Valais projects are in French, Upper Valais in German. International participation is common thanks to Zermatt, Saas-Fee and Verbier's tourism appeal.
