Planning Competitions – Canton Valais

Valais is a bilingual canton (German in Upper Valais, French in Lower Valais) with a diverse competition landscape. Sion, Brig-Glis, Visp, Martigny and Monthey are the most active venues. Tourism, alpine infrastructure, energy projects and school buildings dominate.

Valais competitions reflect the cultural duality: Lower Valais projects are in French, Upper Valais in German. Open project competitions and selective study mandates are used depending on the municipality and project scale.
