Planning Competitions – Canton Appenzell Ausserrhoden

Appenzell Ausserrhoden is a small canton with a modest but regular competition volume. Herisau, Trogen and Heiden are the main venues. The canton has a remarkable building culture tradition: Trogen with its unique Pestalozzi Village, built in 1946 as a home for war orphans, and its classicist main street is a well-known example of quality public architecture.
